Nitty Gritty Details

How Long is a Private Session or a Group Class?

The length of a private session or group class is determined by the type of training being delivered to the client, their physical abilities, and the heat/cold index if it may impact client health. Izzy is insistent on there being adequate time to TRULY warm up, exercise and cool down as well as time to answer questions and schedule the next session. She works fast to setup and confirm scheduling so that there is more move time for you.

Private Sessions - Typically, private sessions from start to finish last between 60-75 minutes long. For assessments, these will lean to the longer side to allow time to complete a full assessment and interview.

Group Classes - Intense workouts will likely be set for 35-45 minute window whereby lower impact workouts in a 45-60 minute window to ensure fatigue is not impacting form and to allow adequate recovery.

What About Holidays and Severe Weather?

Class will typically not be scheduled on the dates that holidays are observed by the State of Connecticut. The exception to this is if private clients/group classes and Izzy both agree to continue through the holiday with the schedule.

As for severe weather, typically, if classes are cancelled for nearby public schools, class will also be cancelled. However, Izzy may be willing to continue with a private schedule if conditions let up.

The primary form of contact for notifying of cancellations will be via text or email depending on group size and available contact information.

What if I am Not Fit for a Class?

Often, if a client is experiencing issues with health, recovering from an injury or is just beginning their fitness trek, private sessions or private sessions to supplement group classes are the best options. This approach allows for corrective exercise routines to be personalized and for greater oversight from Izzy. If at any point, a client or Izzy recognize that, even with reasonable modifications of exercises, a client is not fit for a class or private session, the workout will be terminated. Future workouts will only resume when the client is fit for exercise. Izzy reserves the right to request a medical note indicating any physical restrictions or a "go ahead" to resume activities. This is in the best interest of all involved as no one wants an injury or to make one worse. She is happy to work with you and your medical care team to achieve your goals within the limits of your fitness so do not feel as though a sedentary lifestyle is your only option.

How is "Active Registrant" Defined?

An "active registrant" is a client of Pink Camo Fit Body LLC who has completed all the necessary paperwork, is fit for class, paid any balances in full, and has attended class within the last year. Paperwork must be renewed annually, at minimum, and again after any contact information or medical/health history changes. See Izzy for details on paperwork to become an active registrant.

Izzy works hard to get to know her clients, their interests and their needs. It is not possible to have new comers enter into classes without becoming active registrants. Additionally, new clients will gain more from participation in multiple classes through a class pass. This better ensures that they learn body awareness, likes/dislikes, strength/weaknesses and discuss concerns with Izzy so that they will keep up with their fitness goals. As such, this is why only clients with an active registration history with Pink Camo Fit Body may be granted eligibility for an "I'm Dropping In" card or a Gift Certificate purchase for fewer than four classes.
