Nitty Gritty Details

How Long is a Private Session or a Group Class?

The length of a private session or group class is determined by the type of training being delivered to the client, their physical abilities, and the heat/cold index if it may impact client health. Izzy is insistent on there being adequate time to TRULY warm up, exercise and cool down as well as time to answer questions and schedule the next session. She works fast to setup and confirm scheduling so that there is more move time for you.

Private Sessions - Typically, private sessions from start to finish last between 60-75 minutes long. For assessments, these will lean to the longer side to allow time to complete a full assessment and interview.

Group Classes - Intense workouts will likely be set for 35-45 minute window whereby lower impact workouts in a 45-60 minute window to ensure fatigue is not impacting form and to allow adequate recovery.

How is Scheduling Handled?

Contact information for scheduling is located on the Get Fit Now! page.

Private and semi-private sessions are scheduled for best overlap between you and Izzy's schedule. These can be weeknights, weekends or VERY EARLY mornings if you are local, based on Izzy's availability at the time of booking. The actual time and day of week can fluctuate and does not need to follow a pattern, although that is recommended for establishing a personal routine. It is best to schedule your visits for when you would normally allocate time to your exercise regime. Typically, the first several visits are planned ahead at the time of booking. All visits must be taken within a reasonable period from booking - with intervals between visits scheduled no more than two weeks apart unless there is a unique situation where Izzy cannot accommodate the spacing or vacations are scheduled.

Group classes are scheduled to recur at a specific time and day of week. These can be weeknights, weekends or VERY EARLY mornings if you are local, based on Izzy's availability at the time of booking. At the time of booking, the weeks ahead are reviewed and accommodations are made for the group if there is a need to skip a week. Izzy recommends not skipping more than one week at a time. All classes must be scheduled within a reasonable period from booking - with intervals between classes scheduled for regular weekly meetings and no more than two weeks apart unless there is a unique situation where Izzy cannot accommodate the spacing.

Extended lapses between scheduled visits or classes is not in the client's best interest and Izzy cannot honor pre-paid services that have lapsed more than 45 days. If you have a unique situation that will prevent you from using your pre-paid services, contact Izzy immediately to determine what options might exist for working around or deferring the service.

How are Cancellations Handled?

Izzy is very flexible with scheduling in the event that there needs to be a change. However, she asks that her clients respect her time and commitment.

Cancellations for private and semi-private sessions should be made 72-hours in advance to avoid paying the full rate for the visit unless there is a family or medical emergency. If advance notice is given outside of the 72-hours or if there is a family or medical emergency, Izzy will allow the visit to be rescheduled at no additional charge.

Group classes are prescheduled at booking and are expected to proceed on schedule. However, with a week notice and agreement of the group, Izzy will typically accommodate a change to the schedule. This may include shifting start/end times, day of the week or skipping a class, if necessary.

In the event that Izzy must cancel with you, there will be no charge for that visit or class. Feel confident that this would be rare occasion as Izzy prioritizes you. She will make sure to rebook your visit or class as soon as possible.

The primary form of contact for notifying of cancellations will be via text or email depending on group size and available contact information.

For Cold Spring Farm group classes, see the class page for updates to schedules.

What About Holidays and Severe Weather?

Class will typically not be scheduled on the dates that holidays are observed by the State of Connecticut. The exception to this is if private clients/group classes and Izzy both agree to continue through the holiday with the schedule. As for severe weather, typically, if classes are cancelled for Colchester public schools, class will also be cancelled. However, Izzy may be willing to continue with a private schedule if conditions let up.

The primary form of contact for notifying of cancellations will be via text or email depending on group size and available contact information.

For Cold Spring Farm group classes, see the class page for updates to schedules.

What if I am Not Fit for a Class?

Often, if a client is experiencing issues with health, recovering from an injury or is just beginning their fitness trek, private sessions or private sessions to supplement group classes are the best options. This approach allows for corrective exercise routines to be personalized and for greater oversight from Izzy. If at any point, a client or Izzy recognize that, even with reasonable modifications of exercises, a client is not fit for a class or private session, the workout will be terminated. Future workouts will only resume when the client is fit for exercise. Izzy reserves the right to request a medical note indicating any physical restrictions or a "go ahead" to resume activities. This is in the best interest of all involved as no one wants an injury or to make one worse. She is happy to work with you to achieve your goals within the limits of your fitness so do not feel as though a sedentary lifestyle is your only option.

How is "Active Registrant" Defined?

An "active registrant" is a client of Pink Camo Fit Body LLC who has completed all the necessary paperwork, is fit for class, paid any balances in full, and has attended class within the last year. Paperwork must be renewed annually, at minimum, and again after any contact information or medical/health history changes. See Izzy for details on paperwork to become an active registrant.

Izzy works hard to get to know her clients, their interests and their needs. It is not possible to have new comers enter into classes without becoming active registrants. Additionally, new clients will gain more from participation in multiple classes through a class pass. This better ensures that they learn body awareness, likes/dislikes, strength/weaknesses and discuss concerns with Izzy so that they will keep up with their fitness goals. As such, this is why only clients with an active registration history with Pink Camo Fit Body are eligible for an I'm Dropping In card or a Gift Certificate purchase for fewer than four classes.
